Welcome to GoMingle. Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices available to you when you use the GoMingle website and platform. By accessing or using GoMingle, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Definitions and Interpretation
In this Policy the following terms shall have the following meanings:
"Data" means collectively all information that you submit to the GoMingle via the Website, Platform, and Service.
"Cookie" means a small text file placed on your computer by this Website when you visit certain parts of the Website and / or when you use certain features of the Website.
"GoMingle" means GoMingle of Gauteng, South Africa;
"User" means any third party that accesses the Website and is not employed by GoMingle and acting in the course of their employment; and

2. Scope of this Policy
This Policy applies only to the actions of GoMingle and Users with respect to this Website, Platform, and Service. It does not extend to any websites that can be accessed from this Website including, but not limited to, any links we may provide to social media websites.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Depending on how you use GoMingle, we may collect the following information:
3.1.a Personal Information. When you create an account, purchase a plan or otherwise interact with GoMingle, we may collect information such as: name, email address, contact information, account and login information, and billing and payment information where applicable.
3.1.b Event Information. When an Event is created, we may collect information associated with that Event, including: Event name and date, Event images and customisation settings, Event links and QR codes, and Event settings and preferences.
3.1.c Uploaded Content. GoMingle allows Event Hosts and Guests to upload content to Events, which may include: photos, videos, messages, captions, and other content submitted through an Event. Uploaded Content may contain personal information or images of other individuals. Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate permission or legal basis to upload and share such Content where required.
3.1.d Automatically Collected Information. When you use our website or platform, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, pages visited and interactions with the website, referring and exit URLs, date and time of visits, and general usage and diagnostic information. This information helps us understand how our website and platform are being used and allows us to improve the GoMingle experience.
3.1.e Third-Party Authentication. If you choose to register or sign in using a third-party service such as Google, we may receive information necessary to authenticate your account, such as your name and email address. We only use information received through third party authentication for purposes connected to providing and managing your GoMingle account.
4. How We Use Your Information
4.1 We use the information we collect to operate, maintain and improve GoMingle. This may include using information to:
4.1.a Create and manage user accounts;
4.1.b Create and manage Events;
4.1.c Provide Event Pages and QR codes;
4.1.d Store and display uploaded photos, videos and messages;
4.1.e Allow authorised users to access Event Content;
4.1.f Provide live display and sharing features;
4.1.g Process payments and manage subscriptions;
4.1.h Provide customer support;
4.1.i Improve our website, platform and services;
4.1.j Monitor performance, security and technical issues;
4.1.k Prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access;
4.1.l Comply with applicable legal obligations;
4.1.m Internal record keeping;
4.1.n Transmission by email of promotional materials that may be of interest to you; and

5.2.g Other services necessary to operate the platform.

6. Event Content and Guest Privacy
6.1 GoMingle is designed to allow multiple people to contribute Content to a shared Event. Depending on the Event Host's settings, Guests may be able to view, like or download Content uploaded by other Guests. The Event Host controls many of these Event-level settings. GoMingle does not decide who should have access to an Event.
6.2 If you upload a photo, video or other Content to an Event, you should consider that other authorised participants may be able to view or download it depending on the Host's settings.
6.3 Event Hosts are responsible for managing their Event access and should only share Event links, QR codes and passwords with people they intend to invite.
7. Media Retention and Deletion
7.1 Uploaded photos and videos are retained for a limited period. Unless otherwise stated by the applicable GoMingle plan, uploaded media is stored for 45 days from the date it was uploaded.
7.2 After the applicable retention period, media may be permanently deleted from GoMingle's systems and cannot be recovered.
7.3 Event Hosts and Guests are responsible for downloading or otherwise preserving any Content they wish to keep before it expires.
7.4 GoMingle is not responsible for the loss of Content resulting from failure to download or preserve Content before its expiration.
7.5 Event Pages may have a separate expiration period depending on the plan selected by the Event Host.
8. Third Party Storage
8.1 GoMingle may allow Event Hosts to connect third party storage services, such as Google Drive, to store or preserve Event media.
8.2 When a third party storage service is connected, information and Content may be transferred to that service according to the Host's instructions.
8.3 Third party services operate independently from GoMingle and are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
8.4 GoMingle is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, availability or operation of third party services.
9. Cookies and Analytics
9.1 GoMingle may use cookies and similar technologies to help operate and improve our website and platform. Cookies may be used to:
9.1.a Keep the website and platform functioning correctly;
9.1.b Remember preferences and settings;

13.1 GoMingle is intended for individuals aged 18 and above.
13.2 We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through account registration.
13.3 Because Guests may upload Content to Events, we cannot control the circumstances in which individuals appearing in uploaded photos or videos are captured. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to GoMingle inappropriately, please contact us so that we can review the matter.
14. Third Party Websites and Services
14.1 GoMingle may, from time to time, employ the services of other parties for dealing with matters that may include, but are not limited to, payment processing, delivery of purchased items, search engine facilities, advertising and marketing. The providers of such services have access to certain personal Data provided by Users of this Website.
14.2 Any Data used by such parties is used only to the extent required by them to perform the services that GoMingle requests. Any use for other purposes is strictly prohibited.
14.3 GoMingle may contain links or integrations to third party websites and services. These third parties operate independently and have their own privacy policies and terms.
